Rooted in the ancient Kohomba kankariya ritual, Kandyan dance is Sri Lanka's iconic cultural tradition. Once tied to the Temple of the Tooth, it now thrives on stage, with the sacred ves dance epitomizing Kandyan heritage.

Today, after a relaxing breakfast, travel to Sigiriya (approximate drive duration: 2-3 hours).

En route, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple (activity duration: 2-3 hours).

This vast rock sanctuary once sheltered King Valagambahu in the 1st century B.C. Later transformed into a temple, it has remained a revered pilgrimage site for Buddhists and Hindus for over 22 centuries.

Upon arrival in Sigiriya, check in to the hotel and relax.

In the afternoon, enjoy the Sigiriya Village Tour (activity duration: 2-3 hours).

Today, early in the morning, travel to Minneriya National Park (approximate drive duration: 1-1.5 hours).

Embark on a Minneriya National Park safari (activity duration: 2-3 hours).

Centered on its ancient reservoir near Polonnaruwa, Minneriya is part of Sri Lanka's famed elephant corridor. Herds roam year round, with May to October offering the spectacular gathering of wild elephants.
