Day by day
Day 1Airport - Negombo
Arrive at Colombo Bandaranaike Airport.
Our chauffeur-guide, who will be your travel companion throughout your tour of Sri Lanka, will meet you at the airport. You will then be transferred to your accommodation in Negombo and check in at the hotel.

Day 2Negombo - Anuradhapura
Today, after a relaxing breakfast, travel to Anuradhapura (approximate drive duration: 3-4 hours).
En route, visit the Yapahuwa Rock Fortress (activity duration: 2-3 hours).
Once the capital of Sri Lanka in the late 13th century, Yapahuwa was built by King Buvanekabahu I atop a 90 meter rock. Serving both as a palace and a military stronghold, it still showcases traces of ancient defenses, with its grand ornamental stairway as the highlight.
Upon arrival in Anuradhapura, check into the hotel and relax.
Day 3Anuradhapura
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura (activity duration: 2-3 hours).
Founded in the 5th century BC, Anuradhapura was Sri Lanka's first capital for 1,500 years. Highlights include royal palaces, temples, and the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi, the world's oldest documented tree, linked to Buddha's enlightenment.
Return to the hotel and relax.
In the evening, visit Kaludiya Pokuna (activity duration: 1-2 hours).
Situated on the western slopes of Mihintale, Kaludiya Pokuna is the largest pond, renowned for its black water reflections. Surrounded by ruins of monasteries, stupas, and advanced hydraulic structures, it showcases Sri Lanka's ancient engineering and spiritual heritage.

Day 4Anuradhapura - Sigiriya
In the morning, after breakfast, travel to Sigiriya (approximate drive duration: 1-2 hours).
En route, visit the Avukana Buddha Statue (activity duration: 1-2 hours).
Carved in the 5th century under King Dhatusena, this remarkable statue stands over 40 feet tall. Rising from a granite cliff, it rests on a lotus pedestal and remains Sri Lanka's tallest ancient Buddha image.
Check in to the hotel and relax.
In the evening, visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (activity duration: 2-3 hours).
Celebrated by locals as the Eighth Wonder of the World, Sigiriya is an ancient palace and fortress complex of immense archaeological importance. Rising 200 meters above the surrounding jungle, this volcanic rock plateau attracts thousands of visitors each year.
Return to the hotel and unwind.
Day 5Sigiriya
After breakfast, travel to Polonnaruwa (approximate drive duration: 1-2 hours).
Visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa (activity duration: 3-4 hours).
Established as Sri Lanka's capital by King Vijayabahu I, Polonnaruwa flourished under King Parakramabahu I in the 11th century. He constructed the vast Parakrama Samudra reservoir along with magnificent temples, palaces, and monasteries, earning Sri Lanka the title Granary of the East.
Return to your hotel in Sigiriya and relax.
Day 6Sigiriya - Kandy
After breakfast, travel to Kandy (approximate drive duration: 2-3 hours).
En route, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple (activity duration: 2-3 hours).
This vast rock sanctuary once sheltered King Valagambahu in the 1st century B.C. Later transformed into a temple, it has remained a revered pilgrimage site for Buddhists and Hindus for over 22 centuries.
Check in to the hotel and relax.
In the evening, visit the Temple of the Tooth (activity duration: 1-2 hours).
Kandy's crown jewel, the Sri Dalada Maligawa, houses Sri Lanka's most sacred Buddhist relic, a tooth of the Buddha. With its golden roof and classical Kandyan architecture, this revered complex is both a cultural and spiritual treasure.
Afterward, enjoy a Kandyan dance performance (activity duration: 1 hour).
Rooted in the ancient Kohomba kankariya ritual, Kandyan dance is Sri Lanka's iconic cultural tradition. Once tied to the Temple of the Tooth, it now thrives on stage, with the sacred ves dance epitomizing Kandyan heritage.
Return to the hotel and unwind.
Day 7Kandy
After a relaxing breakfast, visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens (activity duration: 2-3 hours).
Located just outside Kandy, these world-renowned gardens showcase over 4,000 plant species, including vibrant orchids and towering palms. Highlights include the graceful Avenue of Palms and the historic Cannonball Tree, planted in 1901.
Return to the hotel and relax.
In the evening, explore Kandy city on foot and enjoy some shopping.

Day 8Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
This morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Kandy Railway Station.
Begin your scenic train journey from Kandy to Nanu Oya (approximate duration: 3-4 hours).
Sri Lanka's train routes are among the most beautiful in the world. The ride through the hill country takes you past mist-covered tea estates, lush forests, and breathtaking landscapes, making this one of the most iconic journeys in the country.
Upon arrival at Nanu Oya Railway Station, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Nuwara Eliya (approximate drive duration: 1-2 hours).
Check in to the hotel and relax.
Day 9Nuwara Eliya - Negombo
After breakfast, take a leisurely walk around Nuwara Eliya city and enjoy the refreshing morning breeze.
After lunch, travel back to Negombo (approximate drive duration: 4-5 hours).
En route, visit a tea factory and savor a freshly brewed cup of Ceylon tea.
Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax.
Day 10Negombo - Airport
Today, you will be transferred to Colombo Airport to catch your flight home, carrying with you all the happy memories of the tropical isle of Sri Lanka.
